The course first opened for play in 1964.
This well-maintained executive course doesn't have any water in play, but there are plenty of trees that can affect your shots. The most difficult hole is #8 because it requires a tee shot over trees. This course is excellent for practicing your short game, especially putting and chipping. The terrain is hilly, so expect some uneven lies.
Friendly Valley is located in Santa Clarita, it is an adults only RESORT community, 55 or better, located off Sierra Highway and Friendly Valley Parkway.
There are about 1,280 homes, the first phase was originally built in the 1960's with the newest phase completed in 2004.
Friendly Valley Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par of 28. 8 of the holes are par 3's, one hole is a par-4. The course plays to a 9-hole maximum distance of 1,425 yards.
